Cowbell mathematics competition is the reason why I am loyal to Cowbell milk till date. Aside from the fun of following up with the competition, I feel some sort of connection with the business, so buying their milk is a way I contribute to ensure the sustainability of such contest. They got new customers and retain.
I am going to be very practical about contest by using a small business as an example.
Another example is Cusson baby contest, lots of families participate and it gives massive awareness to the brand as entries come from all cities in the country.
Let’s say that Delish Foods is into baking and confectioneries, the business is pretty new and the owner want to get more customers without breaking the bank. A contest was created for people between the age of 25 to 45 to write poem about their favorite recipe, post it on social media, tag Delish Foods and use a specific hashtag to make it trend. Later on, 10 best entries were considered.
To ensure transparency, the organizer decided to allow the public to have a say in deciding the winners. The ten best participant would have to post their entries on social media with Delish hashtags, and another with most likes, shares and comments will be announced as winners.
All participants will leverage on their biggest networks to rally for supports. This is is massive win for everyone.
The winner could be announced as Delish ambassador with some little benefits that the business could conveniently afford.
People love titles and position, they want to be able to add something to their names. Why would you run them of this opportunity if you can afford to give it to them?
